Francesca Tedeschi is an accomplished molecular biologist with extensive experience in plant developmental biology, plant-microbe interactions and bioinformatics.
Francesca holds a PhD in molecular biotechnology, with postdoctoral research experience at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK, Germany) and the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University (Denmark).
In addition to her academic work, Francesca gained industry experience as a Senior Scientific Officer at Xelect Ltd (St.Andrews, UK), a startup specialized in genetic solutions for aquaculture. There, she led the next-generation sequencing platform and managed R&D projects focused on genetic data analyses for fish breeding. Her time in industry provided valuable skills in team management, data analysis, and the translation of advanced molecular biology into practical solutions for both academic and commercial customers.
Francesca is the Chief Scientific Officer at SymbioMatch, overseeing R&D projects and driving innovative approaches in the development of custom biofertilizers.
